Members are ostomates, their families, ostomy (WOCN) nurses, surgical suppliers, physician advisors and other interested persons. Chapter services include monthly educational meetings, patient visiting program, sharing of experiences and practical advice. The Ocala Chapter Visiting Program offers one-to-one support by a trained certified visitor. Visits may be made in person at the hospital or at the home. Telephone visits are also offered as a first contact. Many times the telephone visit can answer concerns of the new patient.
